Terms of use.

Sunac Stream is offered free of charge for personal and professional use. By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms. Read them once; we'll keep them short and plain.

Section 1

Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using Sunac Stream (the “App”), published by Sunac Ltd. (“we”, “us”), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Section 2

The service

Sunac Stream is a mobile application that listens for inbound RTMP (Real-Time Messaging Protocol) video streams on your local Wi-Fi network, previews them on your device, and optionally outputs a clean, full-bleed video feed to an attached external display via USB-C, Lightning, or DisplayPort adapter. The App runs entirely locally and does not provide any cloud, transcoding, recording, or remote-relay service.

Section 3

License

We grant you a personal, worldwide, royalty-free, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for any lawful purpose, including commercial productions.

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except where permitted by applicable law.
  • Sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or redistribute the App as your own product.
  • Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or attribution notices.
  • Use the App in a manner that violates any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right.
Section 4

Your use and network responsibility

Sunac Stream exposes an RTMP listener on your local network. This is not authentication. Anyone on the same Wi-Fi network who can reach the displayed URL can push a stream to it. You are responsible for the security of the network you run the App on, for the configuration of your encoder(s), and for the physical and legal permission to display received content.

You agree not to use the App to receive, preview, or relay content in a way that infringes copyright, violates privacy, or contravenes the laws of the jurisdiction where the App is used.

Section 5

Your content

Any video or audio received by the App belongs to you and/or the party that pushed it. We never access, upload, store, or transmit your content. You retain all rights to it at all times. Because the App has no cloud component, we cannot recover or reproduce content after it has stopped streaming.

Section 6

Warranty disclaimer

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, free from latency, or compatible with every encoder, network topology, USB adapter, or external display combination. Stream quality depends on factors outside our control, including your Wi-Fi performance, the encoder settings, the adapter/cable, and the destination display.

Section 7

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SUNAC LTD. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE APP — REGARDLESS OF THE LEGAL THEORY AND WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to us for the App, which, because the App is free, is zero.

Section 8

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “updated” date at the top of this page and, where relevant, in the release notes of a corresponding App update. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Section 9

Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uganda, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of Kampala, Uganda, unless an applicable consumer-protection law entitles you to a different forum.
